Studi Meta-Analisis : Efektifitas Animal-Assisted Therapy untuk Menurunkan Kecemasan

Abstract


Penelitian ini merupakan studi meta analisis yang bertujuan untuk meninjau efektifitas intervensi animal-assisted therapy dalam menurunkan kecemasan. Penelitian melibatkan 13 jurnal yang telah disortir menggunakan metode PRISMA. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Jamovi 2.2.5 dengan memasukkan jumlah partisipan, nilai rata-rata dan standard deviasi pada fitur mean differences. Dari jurnal- jurnal tersebut, terdapat 666 partisipan yang terdiri dari 341 partisipan di kelompok eksperimen dan 325 di kelompok kontrol. Hasil uji heterogenitas berada di >75% sehingga menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada bias publikasi dalam penelitian ini. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa animal-assisted therapy memiliki medium effect size dengan score 0,585 dalam menurunkan tingkat kecemasan individu. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa animal assisted therapy kurang efektif untuk digunakan sebagai intervensi terhadap anxiety.
