Penerapan Prinsip Dialectical Behavior Therapy untuk Menangani Persistent Depressive Disorder pada Remaja Korban Perundungan

Abstract


Penelitian ini ingin menerapkan prinsip-prinsip Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) pada korban perundungan. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah remaja perempuan berusia 14 tahun dengan diagnosa Persistent Depressive Disorder akibat perundungan yang dialaminya. Subjek menunjukkan perilaku menyakiti diri dan memiliki pemikiran untuk bunuh diri. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah The Hopelessness Scale untuk mengukur hopelessness dan Revised Children’s Anxiety and Depression Scale untuk mengukur gejala depresi serta kecemasan. Treatment diberikan sebanyak 10 kali yang membahas lima keterampilan, yakni mindfulness, distress tolerance, walking in the middle path, emotion regulation, dan interpersonal effectiveness. Pada sesi mengenai walking in the middle path, orang tua turut hadir bersama dengan anak. Hasil dari intervensi menunjukkan penurunan gejala depresi dan kecemasan serta hilangnya keinginan untuk bunuh diri. Subjek juga dilaporkan mengalami penurunan hopelessness dan merasa lebih mampu untuk mengelola emosi negatif yang sedang dirasakannya melalui cara-cara yang lebih adaptif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya untuk meningkatkan peran orang tua dalam mendampingi anak menghadapi perundungan.
