Pengaruh Kelelahan dalam Bermedia Sosial Terhadap Rasa Takut Covid-19

Abstract


Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk melihat apakah kelelahan bermedia sosial (social media fatigue) mampu memprediksi rasa takut terhadap COVID-19 (Fear of COVID-19). Studi ini menggunakan dua kuesioner dalam tahap pengambilan data, yakni skala Social Media Fatigue yang berjumlah lima butir item dan Fear of COVID-19 versi Indonesia yang berjumlah tujuh butir item, dan disebarkan secara daring. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah individu berusia di atas 18 tahun, memiliki media sosial, dan bersedia untuk mengisi kuesioner yang diberikan. Partisipan yang didapatkan berjumlah 323 orang (L: 94; P: 229). Dengan menggunakan uji korelasi dan uji regresi, hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kelelahan bermedia sosial dan ketakutan terhadap COVID-19, di mana semakin tinggi social media fatigue yang dialami oleh individu, maka semakin tinggi pula fear of COVID-19. Nilai korelasi pearson sebesar r = 0,267 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Namun, variabel kelelahan bermedia sosial hanya mampu menjelaskan sebesar 7,1% variasi dari adanya rasa takut terhadap COVID-19 yang dialami oleh individu.
