Efektivitas Child Parent Relationship Therapy untuk Meningkatkan Self-Esteem Anak Usia Sekolah

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai efektivitas penerapan prinsip-prinsip Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) dalam meningkatkan self-esteem anak usia sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus tunggal (single-case design) yang melibatkan partisipan seorang anak perempuan berusia 8 tahun 5 bulan dengan masalah self-esteem yang rendah beserta ibunya. Intervensi ini memberikan ibu pengajaran untuk memperbaiki hubungan dan pola interaksinya dengan anak sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan self-esteem anak. Skala pengukuran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Porter Parental Acceptance Scale (PPAS) serta panduan observasi interaksi ibu dan anak melalui Measurement of Empathy in Adult-Child Interaction (MEACI). Adapun keberhasilan dari penerapan terapi CPRT terlihat dari perubahan skor pada skala Behavior Checklist Borba-Self Esteem Tally (B-SET) yang mengukur tingkat self-esteem anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan CPRT efektif meningkatkan self-esteem anak usia sekolah pada seluruh komponennya.
