Hubungan Physical Activity Motivation dengan Tingkat Self-esteem pada Penari Rekreasional Dewasa Awal

Abstract


Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan mengidentifikasi sifat hubungan antara physical activity motivation dengan self-esteem dalam konteks tari rekreasional yang dilakukan oleh individu dewasa awal. Kriteria subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah laki-laki atau perempuan, berusia 18–25 tahun, dan menari sebagai kegiatan rekreasional setidaknya dua kali dalam satu minggu. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Physical Activity and Leisure Motivation Scale (PALMS) yang difinalisasi oleh RoyChowdhury (2012) dan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) oleh Rosenberg (1965). Teknik analisis data seperti uji asumsi dan uji korelasi menggunakan bantuan software IBM SPSS for Windows versi 26. Hasil dari uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara physical activity motivation secara umum dengan self-esteem. Sedangkan untuk masing-masing dimensi, terdapat 6 dimensi yang berhubungan dan 2 dimensi yang tidak memiliki hubungan dengan self-esteem.
